TOWN OF LODI, Wis. (WMTV) - A motorcycle driver is dead after a crash with an SUV in the Town of Lodi, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said early Monday morning.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. Sunday on Lindsay Road, north of Highway 60.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said the SUV was heading northbound on Lindsay Road while the motorcycle was allegedly speeding and heading southbound.
Authorities said the motorcycle could not make the curve just before Highway 60, crossed the center, hit a guardrail and ran into the SUV. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle.
Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported finding the rider down an embankment with serious injuries. UW Med Flight doctors pronounced the driver dead.
Deputies reported the motorcycle rider was not wear
