After being called up to Toledo on Aug. 11 ahead of the Mud Hens’ series with the Columbus Clippers, infielder Max Anderson made a good first impression in his first taste of Triple-A action.
In the Mud Hens’ six-game homestand against the Clippers, Anderson had eight hits, including two home runs and two doubles, five RBIs, and six runs scored. He currently sports a .308 batting average and a .923 OPS.
Anderson, the No. 10 prospect in the Detroit Tigers organization according to MLB.com, registered his first Triple-A hit in the bottom of the sixth inning of Tuesday’s game, an RBI single that got the Mud Hens on the scoreboard. They went on to win that game over the Clippers 10-6.
Anderson finished 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and two runs scored in his debut.
