PHOENIX — The Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival is returning to Scottsdale this fall for its 13th year of Halloween fun.

Tickets are on sale now for the Oct. 24-26 event at Salt River Fields, near the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Talking Stick Way.

Families can trick-or-treat at over 20 hot air balloons tethered to the ground, with thousands of pounds of candy to be handed out each day. The glow of the balloons will illuminate the night sky.

Tethered balloon rides will also be offered at an additional charge.

Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival includes costume contests

Additionally, the Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival will hold costume contests on the Friday and Saturday of the event, with age group competitions as well as a group/family category.
