From this Monday, August 18th, to Friday, August 22nd, representatives from the governments of Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela, as well as authorities from indigenous communities, will meet in Bogotá to celebrate the Amazon Summit.
The purpose of this international meeting is to sign agreements and establish pacts for a joint declaration that will allow for a shared position at the World Conference on Climate Change, which will take place next November in Brazil.
