LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A 5-year-old boy was critically injured Sunday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in a northwest Las Vegas neighborhood, police said.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred Sunday just before 3:30 p.m. near Round Castle Street and Gold Find Court, a residential area near the intersection of Tenaya Way and Tropical Parkway in northwest Las Vegas.
Police said a 5-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when he entered the path of an oncoming vehicle. He was struck and thrown from the bike.
The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not impaired, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
