New Hampshire State Police say a Massachusetts man who was driving the wrong way on the highway while drunk was arrested after running out of gas and fleeing into the woods.
It happened around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 93 in Canterbury, New Hampshire.
New Hampshire State Police first received several calls about a Subaru Crosstrek being driven north on I-93 South in Northfield.
When troopers got to the area, they found the Subaru pulled over on the left shoulder. The car was facing the wrong way near the 50.6 mile marker in Canterbury.
No one was around the Subaru when troopers arrived, but they soon found a man in the tree line on the median. When police ordered him to leave the woods, he did and was identified as James McGillicuddy, 35, of Medford, Massachusetts.
