Gun Rights Group Applauds Mom Who Protected Her Infant Child from Home Intruder

A prominent gun rights organization is praising a mother in Illinois for her quick thinking and bravery after she fatally shot a man who broke into her home.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) has released a statement congratulating and sympathizing with the woman, who was reportedly home alone with her infant child during the late-night incident.

According to local reports, the mother heard a break-in and, after arming herself, hid in an upstairs closet with her baby.

She reportedly fired her weapon only after the suspect entered the bedroom. Police have stated there were signs of forced entry, and the woman, who is cooperating with investigators, told them she did not know
