A prominent gun rights organization is praising a mother in Illinois for her quick thinking and bravery after she fatally shot a man who broke into her home.
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) has released a statement congratulating and sympathizing with the woman, who was reportedly home alone with her infant child during the late-night incident.
According to local reports, the mother heard a break-in and, after arming herself, hid in an upstairs closet with her baby.
