MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Red Cross of Wisconsin is urgently looking for disaster volunteers after extreme weather events, the organization said Monday.

All types of volunteers are needed, but the most critical need is for Disaster Action Team Volunteers. These volunteers are responders trained to offer immediate relief, shelter, and compassion after home fires, floods, and other types of emergencies.

The American Red Cross responds to over 65,000 disasters across the country each year.
