LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Over the summer, Lincoln Animal Control responded to two separate animal hoarding cases in Lincoln, rescuing over 30 animals.
In July, Animal Control Officers were sent to an apartment complex in northwest Lincoln.
Officers found the floor of the apartment to be covered in animal waste.
Further investigation revealed the owner had also left several cats and dogs inside a camper that was parked in direct sunlight.
According to officials, the internal temperature of the camper was in excess of 100 degrees, and there was no accessible water provided for the animals.
Between the apartment and the camper, officers rescued nine dogs and six cats.
In August, dispatch received a report of an odor emanating from a hotel room.
When officers arrived, they found the floor
