CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — The Powerball jackpot has surpassed the half-billion dollar mark for the second time this year, reaching an estimated $605 million, with a cash value of $273.4 million, for Monday night's drawing.
The jackpot has been growing since June 2, making Monday's drawing the 34th in the current run. During this period, players have won almost 50 prizes of $1 million or more and 450 prizes of $50,000 or greater.
Four Powerball jackpots have been won so far in 2025. The largest was a $526.5 million prize claimed in March by a single ticket in California.
Powerball tickets cost $2, or $3 with the Power Play option, and can be bought at any West Virginia Lottery retailer. All tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. ET Monday. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and
