FRANKFORT, Ky. —

Police are investigating after a shooting left two people injured on Kentucky State University's campus.

It happened overnight Sunday when Frankfort Police say officers responded to a shots fired call near Young Hall. Advertisement

According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed multiple people inside a dark-colored car opened fire on a group of people walking on campus.

Witnesses said they heard around 15-20 gunshots.

Two people were hit by the gunfire. One was treated for minor injuries while the second victim suffered serious injuries. They were both taken to the hospital.

Young Hall and at least one car were damaged by the gunfire.

No suspects have been arrested.
