Local 3 News has learned the Girls Preparatory School (GPS) soccer coach has resigned amid allegations of hazing.

A letter sent to the GPS community from the head of school, Megan Cover, says that they discovered Patrick Winecoff had a pattern of hazing and initiation activities that go back several years.

Cover also says that other staff had knowledge of the hazing and failed to intervene.

Winecoff has been part of the athletic staff since 2014.
