Farmington Hills ― The Archdiocese of Detroit's newly installed Arc hbishop, Edward Weisenburger, toured the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills on Monday, viewing Jewish artifacts and learning about the Holocaust as part of an effort to build interfaith connections in the region.
Holocaust center CEO Rabbi Eli Mayerfeld welcomed Weisenburger and other archdiocese officials to the center.
"Holocaust education is the key to countering antisemitism and to build a more compassionate world," he said. "We hope you'll join us in our mission to inspire greater peace, tolerance and understanding."
