Penn State , recently ranked No. 2 in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 , continued to receive some love from the AP on Monday.

Four Nittany Lions earned spots on the AP’s preseason All-America teams, including three on the first team.

Running back Nick Singleton , offensive lineman Vega Ioane and defensive tackle Zane Durant were all first-team honorees. Running back Kaytron Allen made the second team as an “all-purpose player.”

Penn State was tied with preseason No. 1 Texas as the only schools to have three honorees on the first team. No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Clemson, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 8 Alabama and Pittsburgh each received two nominations.
