The temporary closure to vehicle traffic in Main Street's 200 block could last through the end of the week and is the fifth such concurrent closure in Downtown.

EVANSVILLE — Yet another Downtown street temporarily closed in Evansville Monday after a business received approval from the city to install a new water line, officials said.

The closure, impacting Main Street between 2nd Street and 3rd Street, could extend through Friday, according to Board of Public Safety records.

That stretch of Main Street includes popular restaurants, bars and eateries, including The Peephole, Patsy Hartigan's Irish Pub and Parlor Doughnuts.
