In his opening statement during Monday’s press conference, Day got ahead of any questions asking him to comment on the NCAA’s punishment of Michigan for its sign-stealing scandal .
“I’m not going to do that,” Day said. “My responsibility is to the Buckeyes. My responsibility is to the team and making sure that we’re ready to play in 12 days. That’s where we’re going to keep the focus.”
