A routine trip to Hazelnut Café in New Jersey for ice cream and coffee ended with an unexpected $1,600 bill for one family.

Kathy Denman described the incident in a TikTok video that has been viewed nearly 14 million times. Denman, 40, said she was at the cash register when she suddenly heard a “loud bang.” Her 3-year-old daughter, Allie, who was sitting on her grandmother’s lap, accidentally sent a heavy, marble table crashing to the floor, splintering in “a million different directions.”

Surveillance footage obtained by NJ.com shows Allie appearing to attempt to slide out of the booth, causing the table to topple. Two customers stepped in to lift the dining piece, which Denman described as “so, so heavy.”
