WINDHAM, Maine — A memorial is growing to honor motorcyclist Erin Hayne, who was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Windham.

Hayne, 33, from Casco, was shot multiple times by a driver who pulled up next to him at the intersection of Route 302 and Landing Road.

A memorial to honor Hayne, located on the corner near McDonald's, has a cross, photos, flowers, and what appears to be some meaningful momentos, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Red Bull.

Sabrina Hayne, who says she's his sister, wrote on Facebook , "My brother would feel honored to know he had such an impact on so many people."

Maine State Police said 48-year-old James Ford of Windham fired numerous shots at Hayne before driving away from the scene.
