LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - CATA’s Rydz pilot program is making a few upgrades.

The app-based service allows users to take minivans directly to their destinations, instead of taking a bus on a specified route.

New funds will allow Rydz to expand late-night service, allowing third-shift workers to catch a ride in the Lansing and Delta Township zones.

Late-night riders must schedule their trips two hours in advance on the app. The service will be available 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. every day.

Early morning trips can be arranged on Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. between the Lansing and Delta Township zones. Rides within a zone are not available during late-night hours.

Trips cost $1.25.
