TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa's Homeless Outreach Program is celebrating three years and has already helped hundreds of families.
The newest family to be helped is a family of five with three children. They faced homelessness after the hurricanes in 2024, and through the city programs and nonprofits, they are on their feet again.
Harrison Best and Miranda Pruitte have three young children, and during last year's storms, they experienced the unthinkable.
"During Hurricane Milton, a tree fell through our apartment in the middle of the night and crushed our house. So, we became homeless instantly," Best said.
