SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Creative City Collective celebrated the contributions of women and organizations in the region during the Springfield Legacy Celebration, marking the 105th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
The event recognized 80 individuals, including elected officials and change makers, for their significant contributions to civic leadership and empowerment.
Attendees wore suffragette white as a symbol of hope, determination, and courage.
"Leadership roles that are actively being held by women that we often don't recognize because maybe in our industries, in our areas, we might be one of a few. But tonight we're gathered at a group so we can see now we're out here," said Tiffany Allecia, Executive Director of the Springfield Creative City Collective.
