TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Jury selection begins Tuesday in the murder and conspiracy trial of Donna Adelson.
300 potential jurors have been summoned to report to the Leon County Courthouse starting Tuesday morning as attorneys try to seat a jury in the high-profile case.
Defense attorneys pushed to have Adelson’s trial moved out of Tallahassee, citing extensive media coverage, but Circuit Judge Stephen Everett ruled that attorneys have to try to seat a jury here first before considering a change of venue .
The potential jurors are expected to report in morning and afternoon waves of 50 over the next few days as attorneys work to select 12 jurors and three alternates to hear the case.
