JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is set to announce his first major office appointment as governor on Tuesday, August 19.
Gov. Kehoe is scheduled to name his pick for the state’s new Attorney General during a news conference.
The announcement is set for 10 a.m. at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.
This comes just one day after current Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced he is resigning in order to serve as the Co-Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Bailey’s resignation is effective on Monday, September 8.
