Greenbelt man arrested for ATV assault that injured two DC police officers

WASHINGTON, DC – A 30-year-old Maryland man has been arrested in connection with a March incident in which two Metropolitan Police officers were struck by an ATV in Northwest Washington, police announced Sunday.

On March 15, around 8:14 p.m., officers from MPD’s Third District attempted to stop an ATV in the 1400 block of U Street NW. The driver fled, hitting two officers in the process. One officer sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment.
