Cars vandalized, tires slashed in DC’s Shepherd Park

Residents in D.C.’s Shepherd Park neighborhood got a rude awakening after someone slashed the tires on nearly a dozen cars overnight.

It happened on Geranium Street between 14th and Georgia Avenue, and one neighbor’s security camera caught the crime as it happened.

“Annoyed that this was a lot of money and a lot of time spent unnecessarily,” said resident Emily Kahan.

It was a common sentiment of many who live on Geranium Street.

Overnight, a home security camera caught someone going down the street taking out tires on parked cars while someone else rode beside.

There were flats on at least eight cars — and huge headaches for the owners.
