Three Department for Work and Pensions changes kick in for certain benefits THIS WEEK. Millions of benefits claimants are owed cash from the DWP before the end of the month, with payments set to land this week for households.
But payment dates are set to change, with three changes to be aware of. Any benefit payments due to be made on Saturday 23, Sunday 24, and Monday 25 will instead be paid out on Friday, August 22.
The Labour Party government said that the move is to "provide financial certainty" for families as preparations are made for the new school year, which can be an expensive time for households.
