DUBLIN, Ohio — As students in Dublin head back to the classroom, officers will be patrolling West Bridge Street with a few extra eyes.
The dual school zone for Sells Middle School and Indian Run Elementary, which is on a four-lane road with a center median, is an area where drivers typically have issues slowing down.
"You're into the school zone pretty soon after exiting U.S. 33 from one direction and another off of Riverside. So center of town, a lot of traffic, and it's a school zone that lasts for over an hour," said Sgt. David Gatterdam with the Dublin Police Department.
On top of that specific area being a hot zone for speeding, police are also raising concerns about parents' driving habits in all school zones.
