SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — A Franklin County man is facing federal charges after authorities said he shot at law enforcement officers serving a warrant to arrest him on murder charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Andre Jordan II, 34, of Reynoldsburg, is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Bryan Morris Jr. in the Old North Columbus area on Aug. 8.
On Aug. 14, the U.S. Marshals Task Force tracked Jordan to a room at the Quality Inn hotel in Springfield.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said that officers set up to apprehend Jordan and announced to him that they were there. Jordan allegedly fired a shot through the window of the hotel room toward the officers. He then fired another shot at officers through the front door.
