At 8:15 p.m., Rusty Clevenger told WYFF News 4 that he has conceded, making Rhyne the winner of the runoff election for Spartanburg County Sheriff.

Voters in Spartanburg County went to the polls Tuesday, or voted early, for the Republican primary runoff.

Voters chose between Bill Rhyne and Rusty Clevenger.

The special election comes after former Sheriff Chuck Wright resigned amid allegations of misusing public funds .
