BOSTON —

A Massachusetts State Police trooper who has been hospitalized since he was struck by a stolen motorcycle in Revere in June is being moved to a rehab facility on Tuesday.

Massachusetts State Police Lt. Donald Bossi was outside of his vehicle on June 23 when he was struck by a motorcycle on Revere Beach Boulevard just outside of the Revere Barracks. The trooper was thrown approximately 45 feet as a result of the impact with the motorcycle.

State police said Bossi will be moved from Massachusetts General Hospital to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge on Tuesday.

Akram el Moukhtari, 18, of Revere, faces several charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a crash with injury.
