PROSPERITY, S.C. (WBTV) - A massive python was wrangled near a school in South Carolina late Monday night.
The snake was reportedly spotted on Monday, Aug. 18, near the Mid-Carolina school campuses in Newberry County.
Sheriff Lee Foster said a group of brave people managed to capture the large animal.
“I am no herpetologist, but I think it is an albino python,” Foster wrote.
The reptile was believed to have been someone’s pet and is thought to have been released, as this type of snake is not native to the area.
