GAYLORD, MI - Northern Michigan’s newest water playground opened in a unique setting this summer, surrounded by amenities that its owners say have made it a big draw for summer crowds.

The Inukshuk Shores water park sprawls inside of the new Alpen Bluffs glamping resort on the edge of Gaylord. It’s a huge, inflatable floating playground system complete with slides and jump-off spots. It also features floating cabanas on the side that have bar service and a good eye-view of the water park, in case the grown-ups want to watch from a safe distance.

The RV and camping resort team were betting the water park area would be popular this summer, but they’ve been surprised by the big following.
