Walmart shoppers are being advised to avoid certain frozen shrimp that federal regulators say violate U.S. food safety law.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is recommending a recall and warning consumers against eating, selling or serving specific frozen shrimp products imported from Indonesia after it was discovered that the seafood was handled in unsafe conditions that could lead to contamination with Cesium-137 (Cs-137), a primarily man-made radioactive material.

The frozen shrimp were processed by PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati (which does business as BMS Foods), an Indonesian-based seafood company, according to an Aug. 19 alert from the FDA.
