CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A new year of college is about to start, and it could be the first taste of independence for some students.
As college students continue to navigate their lives on their own, financial literacy is one skill not every student or young adult may have.
Junior Achievement and Players Coalition have teamed up to offer a new course, ‘Financial Playbook’, to teach young adults the basics.
Things like money management through budgeting, taxes, credit, debt, long-term investing and more.
“They’re learning how to save and earn their money; they are right now in the throes of budgeting. College kids, I think, have to be resourceful. And this is an opportunity for them to develop those skills that will take them through life,” said Carrie Pontzius, Junior Achievement of
