A Massachusetts man wanted for an attempted murder in Brooklyn earlier this year has been arrested in Worcester, authorities said Tuesday.

Gregory Alphonso, 33, was nabbed Monday in the Massachusetts city about 35 miles west of Boston, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a press release.

The warrant for Alphonso’s arrest had been issued on May 23 out of Brooklyn Superior Court, according to the Marshals.

No further details of the case against Alphonso were released, but least two incidents that occurred in Brooklyn just before May 23 could be classified as attempted murder.

Around 6 p.m. on May 22, a 29-year-old man was wounded by an unknown gunman inside the Albany Houses on Bergen St., AM New York reported at the time. The shooter and victim were not publicly identified.
