CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Two suspects have been arrested after allegedly using a stolen excavator to steal cash from a Clackamas ATM in June.
It happened around 4 a.m. on June 23 at the U.S. Bank on Southeast 117th and Southeast Sunnyside Road. The excavator had been left at the worksite near the bank, with thieves bypassing a code for the keycard in order to start it.
The theft left the ATM smashed in pieces, ripped from the U.S. bank building, the excavator abandoned outside. Deputies said that the suspects, 32-year-old Matthew Armour and 51-year-old Kevin Miller, stole $58,660 in cash.
Deputies arrested Armour while he was leaving an apartment complex's parking lot in Happy Valley on July 11. He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on multiple charges, including felony criminal
