LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. ( WAFF ) - A Loretto, Tennessee man was arrested following an investigation in a child exploitation case, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday.

James Mark Eddy, 54, was arrested following an undercover operation.

Eddy allegedly contacted undercover investigators through social media, thinking he was talking with a minor.

According to authorities, Eddy shared obscene and sexually explicit material and solicited child sexual abuse material.

Warrants were issued for transmitting obscene material to a child by computer and electronic solicitation of a child.

Eddy was taken into custody without incident after leaving a business on North Jefferson Street in Athens.

Eddy is in the Limestone County Detention Facility with a bond to be determined at a
