Model and activist Nadeen Ayoub will represent Palestine for the first time at the Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in Thailand in November.

According to EFE, Ayoub will represent Palestine in the pageant, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) confirmed to CNN. "Ms. Ayoub, a prominent Palestinian advocate and model, embodies the resilience and determination that define our platform," the MUO told the British network on Sunday, announcing the historic Palestinian participation in the international beauty pageant.

Crowned Miss Palestine 2022, Ayoub expressed her excitement about the announcement on social media: “I represent every Palestinian woman and child whose strength the world needs to see,” she said in a video posted on her Instagram account.
