ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. —

A missing juvenile from Iowa was found over the weekend in North Carolina, according to authorities.

The Rockingham County (North Carolina) Sheriff's Office made a Facebook post saying it had taken a man into custody and located the missing child. Deputies say they had been alerted Sunday by Fairfield police that a missing girl was in contact with a male subject in North Carolina and asked for assistance checking an address.

Deputies found John Michael Johnson, 25, at a residence and also located the child.

Hearst Owned John Michael Johnson is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

Johnson is charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and solicitation by a computer.
