OAKDALE, La. (KALB) - A man serving time for fraud is still on the run, five days after escaping from FCI Oakdale II Satellite Prison Camp.

Authorities said Elliot Louis Hammond Sterling, Jr., 37, was discovered missing from the minimum-security facility around 10:15 p.m. on August 14.

Sterling, Jr. is described as a Black male, about 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

As of now, the U.S. Marshals said there are no new updates in the search. However, they are still asking Louisiana residents to be on the lookout.

He was serving a 132-month sentence for wire fraud, financial aid fraud and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
