NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A historic Nashville church is raising concerns about a massive infrastructure project breaking ground just steps away.
Rev. Shane Scott, senior pastor of First Baptist Church Capitol Hill, said he was surprised to learn that The Boring Company had planned the 10-mile Music City Loop, which would run directly next to the church’s property. Now, he’s speaking out — not in opposition, he says, but in hopes of being heard.
“First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill — that has always been a church that has spoken with and for the community,” Scott said.
The tunnel project, backed by Elon Musk’s Boring Company, aims to alleviate surface traffic congestion in downtown Nashville by using a tunnel loop to shuttle people to and from Nashville International Airport (BNA). While
