MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - According to Memphis police, two men, including a security guard, were wounded after shots rang out in the Twin Oaks Apartment Complex around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers were advised that security was attempting to detain a suspect when shots were fired.
One of the victims was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The second was treated on the scene. MPD did not specify which victim was the security guard.
The news came as a shock to Patrica Lee, who has lived in the complex for years. She stressed she’s never heard anything like this there.
“I am surprised because I never hear any complaints over here, it’s really quiet,” Lee said.
“All Secure Security” tells Action News 5 that one of their guards saw a suspicious person who began firing a weapon.
