SOLWAY TOWNSHIP — Bobbie and Nate Stansfield were in the process of rebuilding after losing their home to fire two years ago. The house, under reconstruction, caught fire again on Aug. 12. This time in addition to their home, the Stansfields lost their dogs and their camper, and their garage was damaged.

“We are just grateful for everybody and the support that they've given us, and just hope that we can eventually have a home to call home again,” Bobbie said as she and her family began to make plans once again to rebuild.

Their original home on Crosby Road was destroyed in June 2023. The house and its contents were uninsured, according to a news release at the time. The fire was started by a lightning strike, according to Bobbie.
