LINN COUNTY, Ore. – A 19-year-old Albany man died following a single-vehicle crash just east of Albany on Sunday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.
OSP said that they responded at 9:22 a.m. on August 17 to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 4. A westbound Toyota 4Runner, driven by Ryker Thomas Pittam, swerved to avoid another vehicle attempting to make a left turn into a driveway, state police said. Authorities said Pittam rolled the Toyota after losing control and was ejected from the vehicle. Pittam was transported to an area hospital where he was later declared deceased, state police officials said.
The highway was impacted for about two hours during the on-scene investigation. The Oregon Department of Transportation and Linn County Sheriff’s Office assiste
