BECKLEY, W.Va. (WV News) — Rep. Carol Miller, R-W.Va., on Tuesday officially announced she will be running for reelection to her seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Miller was first elected to represent West Virginia's Third Congressional District in 2018. The seat had previously been held by Evan Jenkins, who vacated it halfway through the term to challenge for then-Sen. Joe Manchin's seat.
Miller topped the crowded field of Republicans in the primary before defeating Richard Ojeda II in the general election.
As she completed the remainder of Jenkins' term, Miller was reelected in 2020. In 2022 following redistricting triggered by the results of the 2020 U.S. Census, West Virginia lost one of its House seats. That year, Miller ran for and won election to the state's new First Co
