The Louisiana attorney general met with the Orleans Parish criminal clerk of court after hundreds of sensitive city documents were dumped.

“I had a productive meeting with Orleans Parish Criminal Clerk of Court Darren Lombard, regarding the hundreds of sensitive records that were dumped in a landfill by Department of Public Works employees nearly two weeks ago. More updates to come,” Murrill said.

Hundreds of sensitive criminal court records, including files tied to rapes and capital murder cases, were accidentally thrown out and buried in the Gentilly Landfill by city employees.
