A Delta Air Lines pilot accused of sexually abusing a child plead not guilty Tuesday during a court appearance in Contra Costa County.
Homeland security agents arrested 34-year-old Rustom Bhag-Wagar, a pilot for Delta Airlines last month after a flight he landed at San Francisco International Airport.
Contra Costa County prosecutors have charged him with 24 felony counts linked to sexual abuse of a child under 10.
A 45-year-old woman is facing the same 24 counts in the case. Authorities have no explained her connection to the pilot or the victim.
Both defendants entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday.
The district attorney's office said it is confident in the evidence in the case.
