SAUGUS, Mass. —

Nine cars, including a Massachusetts State Police cruiser, were involved in a crash on Route 1 in Saugus, police said.

Troopers responded to the crash just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Only minor injuries were reported in the incident. Three cars were towed from the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
