TRUMBULL, Conn. (WTNH) — Three 13-year-olds, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle into a tree on Sunday, according to Trumbull police.
Monroe and Newtown police had notified surrounding towns before the crash that the stolen vehicle was believed to be involved in several car break-ins.
The incident happened near the commuter lot of Main Street and Broadway Road just after midnight.
After the accident, the five juveniles fled from the scene and were located in the area, according to police.
All juveniles were arrested and charged by the Monroe police for allegedly stealing the vehicle and engaging police in pursuit.
