A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were killed in separate crashes last week in Hazel Dell, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have not identified either person killed nor the other involved parties.
Deputies were dispatched at 6:22 p.m. Aug. 14 to a collision between a motorcycle and a truck near the 3900 block of Northeast 78th Street. The motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, where they later died, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Tuesday.
Traffic homicide detectives said they don’t believe impairment was a factor.
Deputies were then called at 9:16 a.m. Friday to a crash in which a truck struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of the Fred Meyer at 7700 N.E. Highway 99, according
